Poor nutrition is known to cause not only physical issues in dogs, but also behavioral issues. The choice of what to feed is a tough one. I personally feed a raw diet. That to me makes the most sense. For people who don't prefer a raw diet and ask my opinion, I'll always recommend a super premium kibble that is for 'all life stages.'
All life stages means they're making the best they can and it's good for 5 week old puppies through 15 year old seniors. Much of the high energy, puppy, senior, etc. foods are all marketing.
Do you homework and be comfortable with what you feed.
